Myself and Martin Terry were at the call in committee meeting - sat at the front - we were told we shouldn't really be talking because it wasn't to do with sefton park - said we wanted to talk about the consultation so were allowed.(Dissed it.) Sat through the whole meeting and were constantly referred to, esp by the lib dem councillors, Barbara janke and Clare Campion Smith, who said we must feel as if we were in front of a steam roller.

I think we got at least 8 mentions - not bad for a svhool which wasn't supposed to be in the meeting - Kate Campion had to explain the sefton Park position - AND SAID THERE WERE 2 OPTIONS - THE EXPANSION OF SEFTON PARK OR THE NEW SCHOOL AT BRUNEL!!! I think that's a breakthrough. Peter Hammond looked and sounded really really fed up with the whole thing, and particularly repeated "not mega-schools" note to self - use that phrase as often as possible.

And the consequence was - the call-in was referred to full council. Evening post was there and asked me a few details. Councillors all friendly (not PH!) - I think I'm becoming almost part of the council. Lots of encouragement to continue our campaign.

Chatted to Head of St Georges, who welcomed my support - may be good to forge links and fight together? main thing - have some of us at each meeting. I can't make the next one - who can?

Feel we may be getting somewhere!
